How to extract text from any web page and add it to a folder

Adding text from web pages can be helpful in order to cluster or classify notes on websites automatically. Here's a quick way to add text from a website to your folder.

Step 1: Create a spreadsheet

  1. Using Google Sheets or Excel, create a spreadsheet with a header row. Title the first two colums: Domain, Content

Step 2: Copy text from web page and paste it in the sheet

  1. Press Ctrl+A (Cmd+A if on Mac) to select all text on the page, then Ctrl+C to copy it to your clipboard

  2. Go to your sheet, select the first cell in the Content column, and press Ctrl+V to paste

  3. Repeat this with as many web pages as you'd like to analyze

Step 3: Import sheet to folder

  1. Download the sheet as a CSV and upload it to the import modal

  2. Map the content column to the submission field of your folder. Make sure that the folder has Extract highlights ON so the AI will extract key messaging.
