Configuring Properties in your workspace

In CustomerIQ, properties help the AI Assistant identify specific field values in folder submissions such as calls, emails, and tickets.

For example, a contact property like "Location" can be configured with a prompt such as, "Determine which location the contact is in."

This guide will walk you through the steps to configure properties in CustomerIQ.

How to Configure Properties

  1. As a workspace admin, Login to CustomerIQ:

    • Open your browser and navigate to the CustomerIQ login page.

    • Enter your credentials to access your CustomerIQ workspace.

  2. Navigate to the Properties Section:

    • Go to the "Settings" menu located on the top bar (gear icon).

    • Click on "Properties" to open the properties configuration page.

  3. Select contact or account

    • Click the contact or account tab to create a new propertiy

  4. Add a New Property:

    • Click the "Add Property" button.

    • A form will appear prompting you to enter details about the new property.

  5. Configure the Property Details:

    • Name: Enter a name for the property (e.g., "Location").

    • Description: Provide a brief description of what information the assistant should look for. Consider this a "prompt" like you would prompt ChatGPT. For example, "Determine which location the contact/account is in."

      • If needed, set any additional attributes for the property such as required fields, default values, or validation rules.

  6. Create the Property:

    • After filling in all the necessary details, click the "Create" button to add the property to your workspace.

  7. Test the Configuration:

    • Test the configuration by submitting a sample call, email, or ticket to see if the AI Assistant correctly identifies and extracts the property value.

Example Configuration

Let's configure a property named "Location":

  1. Name: Location

  2. Description: "Extract the contact's location"

  3. Related To: Contacts

After saving this property, expect the AI Assistant to extract location information from your submissions.

By following these steps, you can configure properties in CustomerIQ to tailor the AI Assistant's data extraction to your specific needs, whether for contacts or accounts.
