Step 2: Configure Slack

You can manage CustomerIQ, notifications, and your CRM with our Slack app

You're setting up yet another app for your team. We get it. Your team already lives and works in Slack, so we've built a deep integration to help you push messages to CustomerIQ for analysis and manage automation and notifications from CustomerIQ.

For those who don't use Slack: Don't fret! Anything we cover here will be sent to your email by default. Microsoft Teams coming soon.

First, configure your CustomerIQ workspace with your Slack workspace

  1. Go to settings > My apps > Slack

  2. Find Slack and click configure

  3. Follow the authentication process

Note: Only a Slack workspace admin can set up the initial connection between CustomerIQ and Slack. If you are not an admin, Slack will prompt you to share our application with the admin. After this is complete, you can configure Slack for your notifications.

Update notifications to send via Slack

With Slack configured, you can adjust your inbox notifications to arrive via Slack (recommended)

  1. Go to Settings > Notifications

  2. Select any notification you'd like to receive in Slack

Pushing messages to CustomerIQ

With Slack connected, any user can push a message to CustomerIQ for analysis by using the action menu in Slack:

  1. Go to any message in any channel and click "More actions"

  1. Now Push to CustomerIQ

  1. A modal will pop up that requires you associate a contact with the submission. Enter the contact information and click Save.

You'll now get a notification that the submission has been analyzed!
