# Private meeting routing

Most teams use CustomerIQ to record and summarize every meeting they attend. This often includes private, internal meetings that users may not want to share with their broader organization.

For this reason, each CustomerIQ workspace automatically routes meeting recordings between a user's default workspace folder and their private folder.

### Adjusting the routing behavior

Every workspace user has a default folder setting for either:

1. **A workspace folder**: when the default folder is a workspace folder, all recording meetings can be found there. Workspace folders are accessible to all users.
2. **Private meeting folder**: when the default folder is the user's private folder, their recorded meetings are only viewable by that person.

Default folder settings can be found in the [My Assistant settings](https://app.getcustomeriq.com/settings/my-assistant) for any user.

### Moving meetings between folders

Just like any other workspace folder, users can move meetings between their private folder and workspace folders by selecting the meeting in the index list and choosing to "Move to folder".
